Community Cooking - Friday July 7

It's cooking time in the kitchen!
Join us this Friday evening from 5.30 at the Mulch Pit to cook green banana curry and a ripe banana desert; a great way to celebrate growing bananas again in the Darwin area. Bring some food to share……
Then on Saturday afternoon from 2pm, we will be converting our new shed verandah into a shady workspace so join us for some paver laying. Many hands make light work!

Communal Gardening - Friday June 23 & 30

Join us for some in the Mulch Pit from 5pm for some delightful dry season gardening this Friday (23/6) and next Friday (30.6). We will be enriching the beds with cow manure, weeding and planting.
Hope to see you at the garden!
From the Mulch Pit crew

Visit from Gardening Australia

This Wednesday we welcome Costa Georgiadis and Sophie Thomson from Gardening Australia to The Mulch Pit for an afternoon of telling stories, poking around the garden and filming with our friends from the Op Shop and Frilly's. We'll be showing off our brand new garden shed and amazing labyrinth walk, as well as showcasing our wonderful community.  Come and join the bearded gardener for a yarn and a hug, between 1:30 til 3:30pm.  All ages welcome.

Friday Friendzi - May 26

A big working bee planned this Friday evening from 5:30pm. Bring your gloves as we clear out the Shadehouse, saving only that we wish to put in our whopping great fantastic amazing new resource facility (aka shed!)
Be part of the excitement as we ditch the trash and prepare for our big move very soon. See you Friday from 5:30pm.

Saturday Platter Day - May 6

The beds are bulked. The seeds are ready. All we need is you!
This Saturday morning from 8am why not come down to the garden and get involved with Dry Season Seed Planting. We'll be planting okra, tomato, cucumber, egg plant, basil and more. Then afterwards enjoy a well earned coffee and cake at Frilly's + Nightcliff Uniting Church Op Shop.
Get involved in your community garden and you get to share in the harvest. Our motto is 'if you plant, you tender, you pick'.
