Welcome to The Mulch Pit, a place for growing food and fun.

The Mulch Pit is a permaculture community garden hosted by Nightcliff Uniting Church and open to everyone.

Our working bees are a great way to introduce yourself to the space, meet other gardeners, share information, get your hands dirty and enjoy each others sweaty company.  For the most up-to-date communal gardening events and working bees, go to our blog.

Generally, we meet as a community at these times.

FRIDAY FRIENDZI'S - First and third Friday of each month from 5pm - featuring a speedy makeover or project with a specific focus, that benefits the whole garden.  BYO plate to share for dinner. The first Friday is also our Cooking Night when we pick produce from the garden and turn it into a fresh feast. Find our recipes here.

SATURDAY PLATTER DAY -  come for two minutes or two hours - there's always something to do and someone to meet in the garden.  Bring your excess produce for the Pit Produce Swap.  Then stay for a fair trade coffee or tea at Frilly's!

THINK TANK - At the new time of 6pm on the 4th Friday of each month- where Plotters and Schemers and Friends of TMP get to contribute ideas and make decisions.

If you can't join us at one of these times, check out the communication board for jobs you can do when it suits you!

"There is enough for all.  The earth is a generous mother;

she will provide in plentiful abundance food

for all her children if they will but cultivate her soil

in justice and in peace."   Bourke Coekran
