Welcome to The Mulch Pit, a place for growing food and fun.

The Mulch Pit is a permaculture community garden hosted by Nightcliff Uniting Church and open to everyone.

Our working bees are a great way to introduce yourself to the space, meet other gardeners, share information, get your hands dirty and enjoy each others sweaty company.   Here are our current communal gardening gathering times:

WHISP WEDNESDAYS - every Wednesday from 8 to 11 am - with a focus on all things seedy in the nursery!

FRIDAY FRIENDZI'S - every Friday from 5pm - featuring a speedy makeover or project with a specific focus, that benefits the whole garden.  BYO plate to share for dinner.

SATURDAY PLATTER DAY - another opportunity to work alongside our permaculture guru in the garden from 8am, with a feast of activity and plenty of food for thought

THINK TANK - 3rd Saturday of each month from 10.30am on site at Frilly's Fair Trade morning tea and coffee space - where everyone present gets to contribute ideas and make decisions.

For the latest Pit Plans, news and updates be sure to check out our blog regularly.

she will provide in plentiful abundance food

for all her children if they will but cultivate her soil

in justice and in peace."   Bourke Coekran
